Optimisation

Dear All

I have a huge number of steps in the following out put. Can you let me know how can i minimise the steps to coinverge?

Optimisation

the geometry extrapolated for the second step seems to be unreasonable.
please try to do the following
1) increase the precision required for the electronic convergence for each step (PREC=1e-6 for example)
2) decrease POTIM (default is 0.5) to some smaller value such that the step width is reduced. (eg to 0.2)
3) choose a different electronic convergence algorithm (ALGO), eg Normal or Fast (you chose very fast)
