SYMPREC in cartesian or direct

#1 Post by phtobias » Thu Jun 15, 2006 2:30 am

Dear vasp users,

Does the SYMPREC value refer to the precision in angstrom or in fractional numbers?

I have a feeling it is in angstrom, even the POSCAR use direct coordinates.

Thanks in advance for any reply.

SYMPREC refers to the number of digits read in POSCAR to be taken into account for detemining the symmetry of the cell.
