Input file creation

#1 Post by Mohsen » Mon Oct 14, 2013 10:24 pm

Is there anyone can help me to know how I can create my input files (INCAR, POTCAR, POSCAR, KPOINTS)? Actually, I'm very new in vasp and I just could install it but I don't know anything more.

as you go through the material at http://www.vasp.at/index.php/documentation you might consider doing a literature search where you throw "VASP" in as part of the search criteria... then you can read the computational details sections of some "VASP papers" and make connections to what you are reading at http://www.vasp.at/index.php/documentation
As you start to practice (the above websiste has files prepared for you that you can use to see functioning INCAR, POSCAR etc.) you can ask more specific questions.

I think you can google how to use VASP. In fact, there are many examples and manuals on line for references
