View input files?

Hello is there a way/program to view input geometry file,POSCAR for VASP. I am new to vasp and would like to double check my geometry before runnign it.

I meant to ask how to VISUALIZE the geometry not viwing the file,sorry!

Hi

You can use Xcrysden. It is a free and simple visualization software available on the internet.

Then you go on this website : http://nano.tu-dresden.de/~jkunstmann/software.html and you'll be able to download scripts that convert your POSCAR file into a file readable by Xcrysden.

I want to suggest 2 more alternatives here.

First one is p4vasp. It is best visualization software for vasp. But unfortunately, its installation is too difficult.

The second one is VESTA. You can view your POSCAR, CONTCAR files. It is very usefull especially for CHGCAR files....
