We are using an OmniPath network which requires that OpenACC is initialized before MPI to make GPUDirect work.

Is it an issue you are aware of and are there any plan to implement this in VASP?

Thanks for reporting this problem we were not aware of. To solve it would require some non-negligible changes in the code that will not be done very soon, but only in some distant future.
