Can LPLANE affect results?

Can setting LPLANE = True / False actually affect the outputted results? Or does it just affect performance / convergence?

As stated in the vasp wiki LPLANE will only affect the distribution of data for parallel computing
wiki/index.php/LPLANE
So this tag will not affect the computed properties of your system. This means output
quantities will numerically be the same.
