Question on unit of k-point coordinates

#1 Post by opvu » Thu Jul 12, 2007 4:38 pm

Dear VASP authors and users,

My question is:
In which unit are the k-point coordinates in KPOINTS read?

If the system is cubic, the unit is 2pi/a (a lattice constant).

How a bout the tetragonal system with 2 lattice parameter a and c?

Thank you very much.

please have a look into a solid state physics textbook for the construction of the reciprocal lattice and the unit vectors of the first Brillouin zone. (they are written in OUTCAR)
