calculation regarding n-type or p-type semiconductors

Dear all,
Does anyone know how to do n-type or p-type DMS's calculations and how to set up the charge state?

The concentration of the charge carriers is given by the the
concentration of the impurity atoms and their number of surplus / defficient valence electrons.

Thanks a lot. Can I use NELECT tag to control the surplus and defficient electrons to simulate the n- or p- type dilute magnetic semiconductors?
How about the reliability of charged system calculations?
