Hello all,
after the BSE (or TD-HSE) calculation there are "optical transitions" written in the vasprun.xml file. The first column is energy in eV.
But what exactly is the second column of this data? Is it the real oscillator strength for each transition?
In the code it looks like it is not the oscillator strength, but maybe the intensity of each transition, there is a sum of the squares of optical matrix elements and it is multiplied by 1000 (don't know why). What are the units here?
Thanks in advance,
Denis

Re: BSE optical transitions
energy (eV) oscillator strength (dimensionless; probability of the transition)
