I have some WAVECARs saved for calculation in vasp 6.2.1.
If I do not change any of the input parameters in the INCAR, is it safe to read this wavecar using vasp 6.4.0?
Can WAVECAR from vasp 6.2.1 be read in vasp 6.4.0?

It should be ok to use the previous version. We always aim for backward compatibility of the files.
