Dear administer:
In order to visualize the CHGCAR file, I installed vmd on ubuntu 7.10 system. Installation looks good and when I typed vmd on command line, it showed me a job ID number and I could even see a prompt window flashed in one second. But then everything disappeared. Using top command, I could see that there is no job named vmd running there. So what is wrong? Is there anyone having similar problem? Thanks a lot.

Hi, I figured out the reason. After installing the csh shell and libstdc++.5, I should refreshed my window. After that, It can work. hope it can give somebody else useful suggestions.
