memory problem with VASP
Dear VASP developers and users,
I an running VASP5.2 for a heavy system of 68 atoms and lattice parameters a=23.92=b and c=42 A.
In fact, the calculation is still running but vasp doesn't continue writing OUTCAR file. I have this strange file : vasp.80s-25414,ci119.btr, when I edit it I have this message
asp:25414 terminated with signal 11 at PC=2b844aacc9a5 SP=7fffb4530140. Backtrace:
/mnt/apps/mpi/openmpi/1.4.2-gcc-44/lib/libopen-pal.so.0(opal_memory_ptmalloc2_int_free+0x75)[0x2b844aacc9a5]
/mnt/apps/mpi/openmpi/1.4.2-gcc-44/lib/libopen-pal.so.0[0x2b844aace21b]
/lib64/libc.so.6(cfree+0xd1)[0x3d438727c1]
/mnt/apps/VASP/v5.2.app/src/vasp.5.2/vasp(__fileio_MOD_outchg+0x45a)[0x6a269a]
/mnt/apps/VASP/v5.2.app/src/vasp.5.2/vasp(MAIN__+0x281a7)[0x4583ab]
/mnt/apps/VASP/v5.2.app/src/vasp.5.2/vasp(main+0x2a)[0xae8b2a]
/lib64/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xf4)[0x3d4381d994]
/mnt/apps/VASP/v5.2.app/src/vasp.5.2/vasp[0x430149]
Is it a problem of memeory, I am using 128 nodes for this job ?
Best regards,
