OMP Abort - Did many tries but no one worked

#1 Post by baolkvn » Sun Jun 01, 2008 6:34 pm

Dear Vaspmaster and Vasp-ers,
This always occur when starting vasp, even though I did change KMP_STACKSIZE and shell stack limit (use command :ulimit -s) with many different values (KMP_STACKSIZE=1m, 2m, 100k, so on; ulimit -s unlimited, or ulimit -s 256000, or many other values.)

"OMP Abort: Unable to set worker thread stack size to 2098176 bytes
Try reducing KMP_STACKSIZE or increasing the shell stack limit. "

Please help me.
Many thanks and a promise to repay your help when I have chance.

Sincerely,
TA Quoc Bao

have you tried to
but with boot parameter "acpi=off" this problem disappears
as suggested by ibixap in a previous forum discussion?
