VASP6.21_Instalation

#1 Post by gul_rahman_pak » Wed Jan 26, 2022 5:33 pm

Dear All,
I just downloaded the VASP-6.2.1.
Before I compile it on my cluster, I would like to install and test it on Ubuntu.
To save time, can someone share the make.include file that can be used to compile the VASP code on ubuntu using mpif90 compiler.
Thanks,
GR

Hi,

We're sorry that we didn’t answer your question. This does not live up to the quality of support that we aim to provide. The team has since expanded.

There are some "makefile.include" examples available in the /arch/ directory of all versions of VASP. For more advice on compiling VASP, we have a wiki page on Installing_VASP.6.X.X. There is additonal information in the URL links within. Specifically, here is one about the Makefile.include. I hope that this answers your question. If you still have issues with compiling, please start a new topic, referring to this one, and we will reply there as quickly as possible.

Best wishes,

VASP
