The manual says that band paralelisation is not implemented for IALGO=8 but only for IALGO=48. So what about IALGO=38?
If it doesn't work for IALGO=38, what is the behaviour when I use this algorithm and NPAR>1?

yes, parallelization over bands works for IALGO=38.
