I searched the questions and I finally found how to apply the external electric field using the tag 'efield'.
So, I used the tags below in my INCAR file.
efield = 1.0 (maybe in the unit of V/A)
LDIPOL = .TRUE.
IDIPOL = 1 (where, 1=x 2=y 3=z-direction, am I right?)
However, I couldn't found the tag 'efield' in OUTCAR file and
it made no difference in the results.
So, I'm wondering whether the external field effect was implemented in VASP or not.
Possibly, I'm using old version of VASP4.6
Plz tell me How to use the tag 'efield' correctly.
Thanks in advance.
